I am working on Invitro flowering of Jatropha. Since this plant secretes latex, it hinders the growth of the plant in the media. Can someone help me how to reduce or avoid latex? What kind of pre-treatment can i go for, before innoculating the nodes of jatropha?

There is no chemical or other method to avoid production of latex reported. To stop exudation, the wound is treated with heath, either hot water or a short contact with the flame of a lighter p.e. To press a piece of kitchen paper on the lesion should stop it too.Hope, it helps!
